Templates

A template is a ready-made diagram to start from. Choose File ▸ New from Template… (Cmd+Alt+N) to see them. Pick an area in the sidebar, such as Sales, IT or Science, or type in the search field to look across every area. Click a template to select it, then click Create, or double-click it.

The template opens as a new, untitled diagram. Nothing ties it to the template: change anything, and save it wherever you like. Its name is offered when you first save.

Your own templates

To keep a diagram as a template, open it and choose File ▸ Save as Template…, then give it a name. It appears under My Templates, with a thumbnail of the page you were on. Right-click one of your own to rename it or delete it. Deleting moves it to the Trash, and diagrams you made from it aren't changed.
